Filter Bubble

Knowledge

Filter Bubble names the concern that invisible personalization can narrow information exposure, a claim requiring separation of media supply, network composition, ranking, and user choice. Digital intermediaries can also widen encounters, so neither homogeneity proves algorithmic isolation nor greater diversity guarantees accuracy, better decisions, or depolarization.
