Relational Control Theory

Knowledge

Relational Control Theory reads power through sequences of moves and responses. Directing, accepting, resisting, and leveling create interaction patterns. Frequent control attempts indicate domineeringness, while dominance requires accepted control. Neither formal rank nor directive counts alone establish how a relationship actually distributes influence.

Analytical Frameworks, Typologies & Heuristics

Organizes dimensions, distinctions, types or questions so that a situation can be examined systematically. A framework supplies structure, a typology distinguishes forms, and a heuristic offers a usable way to orient judgment.
