Relational Communication Scale (RCS)

Knowledge

The RCS measures perceived relational meaning in a specific interaction through a recommended thirty-item, eight-cluster form. Dimensions remain separate, with version and sample-specific reliability documented. Ratings can reveal relational differences beneath similar content without determining intent, overall relationship quality, or the appropriate change to words or behavior.
