Miscommunication

Knowledge

Miscommunication occurs when participants do not establish the understanding relevant to an exchange. Intentions and interpretations may diverge through wording, assumptions, or context. It can coexist with disagreement and is distinct from information’s falsity. Absence of an objection alone does not demonstrate intended understanding.
