Receipt without a common frame
The Sadharanikaran Model treats meaning as a relational achievement shaped by context affect interpretation and feedback
Premise
A message can arrive accurately and still fail to create a workable common understanding. Nirmala Mani Adhikary’s Sadharanikaran Model of Communication (SMC) begins from this gap. First presented in his 2003 master’s thesis and developed in later publications, it frames communication as movement toward commonness or sahridayata rather than the transfer of a finished meaning from sender to receiver.
SMC is Adhikary’s modern reconstruction of resources from Sanskrit poetics, aesthetics, and philosophy of language. Bharata Muni, Bhattanayaka, and Bhartrihari supplied important intellectual antecedents; they did not author the contemporary model. This distinction matters because the framework is both culturally grounded and deliberately adapted to the questions of modern communication scholarship.

Theories & Explanatory Models
Explains how or why a communication process works by relating mechanisms, conditions or variables. Its value is an account that can guide inquiry into what produces an outcome, rather than a name for the outcome alone.
