Willingness to Communicate Scale (WTC)

Knowledge

The WTC Scale measures willingness to initiate optional communication across contexts and receiver types. Twenty situations contain twelve scored prompts and eight fillers. Official profiles require interpretation alongside opportunity, safety, power, and language; willingness does not establish skill, actual participation, commitment, or a need to speak more frequently.
