Four Stages of Critical Discussion

Knowledge

Confrontation, opening, argumentation, and conclusion identify distinct functions in a critical discussion. They reveal whether a dispute failed because the claim, common ground, testing, or final acknowledgment was unclear. Actual exchanges can revisit stages, so the sequence guides reconstruction rather than enforcing a meeting script.
