Common Sense (Gramsci)

Knowledge

Common Sense describes the layered, sometimes contradictory understandings through which everyday life is interpreted. Gramsci treats it as a terrain that communication can activate or contest, rather than an empty audience or a collection of simple errors. Familiarity alone establishes neither truth nor legitimacy.
