Active-Empathic Listening

Knowledge

Active-empathic listening combines attention, perspective understanding, and behavioral response through sensing, processing, and responding. These processes can diverge, so visible attentiveness does not prove comprehension. The construct is distinct from agreement or therapy and requires contextual examination rather than a global good-listener label or a favorable self-rating alone.
