Organizational Trust Inventory (Nyhan & Marlowe)

Knowledge

Nyhan and Marlowe’s Organizational Trust Inventory measures reported confidence in an immediate supervisor and the organization through separate eight-item and four-item subscales. Preserving both targets and the instrument’s authors distinguishes divergent perceptions and avoids confusion with Cummings and Bromiley’s OTI, without treating trust ratings as proof of objective trustworthiness or intervention thresholds.
